Marching To the Right

Democrats Unite

After reading the diatribe closing with, "Excuse me while I go bang my head against the wall,"  it's painfully obvious that the march to the right continues unabated.  It is its usual angry pronouncements that are arrogant, presumtuous, and grossly judgemental.  It rings with its usual fever pitch, and if nothing else, it ought to cause thoughtful Democrats to unite.

I have to say that I resent the accusation assuming Democrats are moral relativists void of concrete values on which to stand.  Nothing could be further from the truth, yet the right-wingers, true to form, are, "shouting it from the rooftops," like town-criers of yesteryear.  While annoying, it cannot be simply brushed aside because it feeds an apparent need to possess an enemy; Democrats are that enemy to those staunchly partisan Republicans because if there is no "us/them," they seem unable to function.  In campaigning, it works unfortunately; all the more reason for we Democrats to unite.

As Democrats, we cannot take lightly the lies of hate-mongers.  For whatever reason, mean-spirited contestations are popular, and it makes people believe that they somehow belong.  We as Democrats have our belonging, and while it doesn't spew hate, it is a better way.

Both sides lie, both sides are guilty of hate-mongering, both are responsible for mean-spirited campaigns.  I'm not sure exactly how you can honestly say that the Democrats don't spew hate while throwing mud from the same mud pit.

BTW, welcome to JoeUser.

I think he is refering to far right mainstreamers such as Rush(I make 38+ million a year on public radio), hannity, and so on.

It should be easy and simple to prove them wrong - just live the lie you want exposed.  The problem is - while you may be able to prove the lie is false in your case, too many of your fellow ideologues will not go along with you.

Let me guess, if your assumption is correct, that proves what?  Neither of you has ever listened to Rush Limbaugh, and probably notg Sean Hannity either, am I correct?

I will issue you a challenge.  Both hosts post their programs on the web sites.  Go to the website and find what you are talking about - in context (do not pull that stupid stunt that Obama did), and then show me.

And when you fail?  I will try not to tell you "I told you so".

What's your point? Again I say both sides have them.

Lester was trying to put the Democrats in an Angelic light when in reality they are just as dirty as the side he/she is pushing into the proverbial mud.  In addition to self proclaimed party righteousness Lestor is also guilty of spewing the same mud that Lestor and Democratic Party are 'above?'

Ultimately Lestor points out the existence of us/them.  While this should be overly obvious that Socialism and Capitalism are the two opposite ends of the spectrum.  Democrats and their socialist agenda CANNOT agree to Republicans and their Capitalistic agenda.

Here's what I DON'T understand.  The US was built on a Capitalistic model.  If the Democrats truly believe in their socialist ideology why don't they move to socialist countries?  Russia, Cuba, Venezuela anyone?  These countries ALREADY have the heavy hand of socialism in operation.

Secondly what I don't understand about the Democrats is why they quickly refer to Republicans as 'Dictators' and compare them to the likes of Hitler and other SOCIALIST Dictators.

K, I'm done.... for now. *_*
