I have to eat crow.

I've been so negative, but I'm sorry.

I've been so negative towards IronClad and Stardock.  I've criticized Impulse, the mini-updates, the patching process, the community, so many things.  Although I've never criticized the game, because SINS is great!

I have to apologize though.  I've recently bought a new computer, and SINS installed easily and quickly.  Works great.  I took it for granted.

I've tried many older games, and they all have problems.  I just bought Crysis Warhead today from Steam, and it is prompting me for an Activation Code.  Of course I don't have one because I bought it on Steam.  EA tech support had an error on the web page for a few hours and I finally was able to get in and contact them for help.  24 hours till I get a response, maybe.  I try to post in the Steam forums, but I must wait until someone approves my account to allow me to begin posted in the forums.

I see new games Like Spore, and heaven forbit Crysis Warhead does the same, where they have install limits and root-kits.  All kinds of DRM to hastle and  annoy.

Stardock and Ironclad are Saints; with some room for improvement. :)  Sins is great; no heart ach, no DRM, no unreasonable requirements.  You can actually close Impulse while you play the game, unlike Steam.

I will not be negative any more.  Looking forward to the mini-expansions.  Keep 'em coming.  If you feel you need money for your quality work, I'm willing to pay (within reason of course).

Thanks for reading my random thoughts.

I have to tell you personally i really dislike Steam because it has given me nothing but problems.

I always try to buy a hard-copy of my games, and thats what i did with SINS.

Also, as a newbie, can i ask what exactly is Impulse? is it a Stardock's equivilant download system or is it a patch of some sort? When i registered on the forum yesterday it gave me the option to download Impulse but i have not done so far.

Do i need it, considering i bought SINS on disc?

Also are there any other patches or updates i should download?

Impulse is Stardock's digital distribution platform. Afaik, you need it to download the latest patches for Sins...
