Underground Sins?

Why so little people?

I find this very disturbing--Sins is very popular and tons of people play it, so why the hell have I never EVER ONCE found more than 150 players online in the ENTIRE WORLD at once?!

This is a damn joke. There's never any more than 2 games to choose from and they're almost always passworded!

If you come on when there are 150 people online there should be a couple games available.  If not then just be patient and wait a couple minutes.  If you can host then you can probably fill a game pretty quickly when 150 people are around.  And remember, that 150 number includes people who are not in the game lobby but who are also busy playing games.

I do sympathize with your sentiments that Sins needs more people to come online.  It's sad to see that so many of the people who play it in single player are scared chickens.

What????? No, stardock is awesome. Inorder to host for alot of games no adays, you need to have you ports forwarded.

Also don't forget that many people play over LAN networks, which are not part of ICO and won't show up there.  For example, I host games on my HAMACHI LAN network for 7 DEADLY SINS.

We get together a lot, and have great games together.  Also, a LAN game gets around the whole forwarding ports thing, so anyone can host a game very easily.

My 2 cents.

Bksabath,

I respond to your posts and you keep posting the same things:  "Breach of trade description acts.... "  etc. etc.

1.  In game-version 1.0 to 1.05 (the original netcode) people do need to forward the traffic on two ports to their gaming PC if they wish to "host" games of SINS.  As I've stated to you numerous times now a step-by-step I wrote on the subject back in Feb can be found here in the OP linked-to right under the GREEN writing!

2.  If a person doesn't want to "forward ports" etc. they can use IMPULSE (www.impulsedriven.com ) which will be required to update SINS past version 1.05 to update to the latest BETA (version 1.095) wich uses (the new netcode) ALLOY and "tunnels" past all routers etc.  With version 1.1 BETA (v1.095) there is no need for using my guide (port-forwarding etc.).

Bksabath, I would say that the DEVS are doing everything they can to make it so everyone CAN in fact "host" games without having to learn a little something first.  Out of the box and up unitl game version 1.05 the person needs to forward traffic on a couple of ports (there is tons of info on the internet incl. my step-by-step to show them exactly how to do that).  Now with the 1.1 beta they won't have to do anything except click "host".

Now can you stop talking about some stupid law-suit and start reading my replies to your posts please?   :P

thanks,

I'm going to bet that the EULA would prevent you from successfully suing them even if you wanted to.  Besides, if people could sue game companies it would probably increase the price of all games, and who wants that?

It's almost as good as the one guy insisting that Impulse for downloading patches constitutes "customer lock-in". He thought it sounded cool, but of course he missed the point of what customer lock-in actually is..

Anyway, the nature of Sins isn't very accomodating as a multiplayer game for a lot of people. The majority play SP/LAN, and contrary to the belief that we're "scared chickens", more often than not it has more to do with how much time we have :P
