Modding SR2:R

As title: anyone been able to mod SR2:R yet?

I've read somewhere that all of the data file as well as the game itself is encrypted. And indeed the PKGUnPack is no longer able to unpack the .dat files.

It seems that there is some kind of score board in the Russian version that they want to prevent anyone from "cheating". But there is no such thing in the English version, and as a single player game I see no reason that modding should be anything but encouraged.

Anyone made any headway on this?
