A baby GIRL?

We had our ultrasound today, and Isabella and I will no longer be outnumbered.  We'll be welcoming another baby girl into our family in January.  I would have been excited about either gender, but I have to say, I am feeling so fortunate to have a healthy baby girl on the way.  A nice little playmate for Isabella since the boys will be out of the house long before she is.

Thanks!  We are really tickled.  I am going to try not to tell the boys when they get home from school so Adrian and I can tell them together.  I am curious what their reaction will be!  They love their sister, but I don't know how they'll feel about being evenly matched!

Ah, they'll probably be ok with it.  Once Izzy gets big enough to really bug them, wanting to be in their space and talking all the time, they will be GLAD she has a little sister to boss.  hahahaha

Yeah, Xavier had been telling Orian he hoped the baby was a boy so the baby would bug Orian and Orian would leave Xavier alone, LOL.


I worried about Isabella maybe feeling usurped, but I think she will want to mother and boss the new LO and won't be resentful.  I hope.

Yes.  I had decided if the baby was a boy we'd change half the room to blues and greens, but keep the stripe theme.  Now we don't have to change anything although we'll need another dresser.  It's kind of nice because we already have girl things, so there is less expense.  Not that a baby boy couldn't use a pink stroller, LOL, but I'm glad that's not an issue.

There was def only one in the u/s.  Afterward I asked for an appointment to have my back looked at (I am having a lot of pain in one of my hips and was hoping for a chiro referral) and the nurse who was doing the fetal doppler before the OB came to check out my back could not find the heartbeat, but we could hear the baby bumping all around.  I knew everything was ok because I had just had the u/s and I could feel her moving.  Anyways, the nurse asked me, "You're not expecting twins are you mommy?"

Maso:  They were both happy but they both really wanted a brother!  They have been giving me lots of name suggestions, haha.
