Death Mechanic ?

If a Commander Die , His Summon , Minions , etc , Die too ? or stay on the battlefield

I just wanted to know some little things.

If a commander die , what will arrive ?
His Summons / Mercenaries , won't be controllable anymore ?
Will dissapear ?
They die with him , all together ?

For the XP
If an Assassin death worth 300Xp
A Commander Death worth 100Xp and 50Xp for his minions ?

His minions heads worth Xp or not , Gold or not
A commander worth More or Less Xp/Gold than an Assassin

Can we deny our Own Teammates/Minions/Units ?

A commander Summon or Buy his Units ?
MP Cost VS Gold Cost

Will he have to stay near his minions ?
To buff them , to control them , To Win Xp

How many parameters , the commander will have to deal with ?
How many ressources ? Oil , Gold , Souls , Trees
Cooldown ? 1 Imba Overpowered Giant/30mn
Cap ( Capacity ) Points
Key Places on the map ( Old Science Lab captured giving access to Franck & Stein Minions)

Commander 's Minions can Lvl Up ?
Commander spawn Minion lvl 1 wining Xp during fights
or
Commander lvl 1 spawn Minions lvl 1 and Commander lvl 9 spawn minions lvl 3

And finally , the last one , Will you mix everything ?
Like
A Commander Sorcerer will summon Magic creatures with fix Level, which disapear when the sorcerer die
and
a Commander Knight will buy mercenaries , which Stay on the battleground , fighting , until the commander come back  , and winning XP and Skills

So many Ideas, So many Questions , in a Little post , Sorry =)

Well, for a start, i'm thinking that if your 'Commander' dies (and by that do you mean your Demigod?) then it's game over, everything disappears and your opponent wins.

We don't know about XP/Gold as of yet but that will be known with the beta.

When you control a General, the game will run like an RTS, you can control your minions wherever they are (i hope) and summon new ones etc.

Your Demigod can level up to level 25 over the course of a game. This adds new skills an abilities. Now, minions, i doubt that they have levels because i don't think they will last long enough :P

Again, we aren't exactly sure about how the summoning works but when you lose your Demigod, it's over. Hope that helps :)

Not so!

From the Gamesradar hands on:

These new abilities increased my killing power, but weren’t enough to carry me to victory in my first encounters with the Rook, who flattened my Beast and sent me back to my castle for a 10-second time out.

I'm assuming 'game end' is much more like DotA, where you have to kill the opponent's base, as opposed to his demigod.

On the other hand, I'd like to see a Demigod Deathmatch mode, where the only goal is to kill the other guy. >.>

1. I think minions dying with the General would be VERY VERY BAD.
If it was the case then people would pretty much completely ignore the minions and purely go after the Generals.

2. Generals and Assassins should be worth the same XP. Generals minions should probably just not be worth any, or something.

3. dunno?

4. Great question.. I've wondered the same.

5. I hope not. I want to be able to sneak minions around to harass/annoy. But they'll likely do better when nearby the General because of buffs and stuff.

6. Only resources are currency and XP, I believe.
Of course there will be cooldowns.. what game doesn't have em?
Cap points? What's that?
There apparently will be capturable points.

7. I don't know...

8. Huh?

My reasonings.. lol

I would assume demigods are all worth the same amount of xp regardless of assassin/general.

It would only make since id assume to make a generals summons/mercenaries very little xp.
It may unbalance things a little bit giving the assassin type more xp then your receiving. but minions are likely going to get you gold a little bit faster then an assassin. *(since you have multiple units under your control farming for u)*

generals also hold auras, and many other group buffing ability's making one team at least want one on both sides.. so in the big picture it should balance out. 1v1 thou may be a different story. *(assuming other demigods/assassins gain a buff being near you as creeps do)*

Currently...

* All Demigods, Assassin or Geneeral, are worth the same XP, which is a function of attacker to defenders level.
* General minions are not worth any XP.
* General minions do not die when their General dies.

All subject to change of course :)
