I Hate Being Sick On The Road

Over the weekend I either picked up some stomach virus or ate some bad chow, I'm not sure which. The effect is the same though.

Being sick any time sucks, but somehow being sick out here on the road is especially bad, and having extreme diarrhea make driving especially challenging.

I was supposed to deliver my first stop in the suburbs of Chicago yesterday morning and the second stop this morning. No such luck. I was unable to move from the truck stop for fear of not being able to reach a bathroom in time. I sat all day yesterday, motly on the throne.

This morning my stomach was still torn up but not quite as bad so I took the chance and headed for my first stop. It was an hour from the truck stop. I only had to stop at a rest area once.

I am now up in WI and about 30 minutes from the second stop, which I'll deliver tomorrow morning. Hopefully my belly will have settled down more by then.

Such is life on the road.

Oh yuck. I've had that from time to time. Can't imagine being on the road with it.

Sorry to hear that. Happy driving. :CONGRAT:

Thanks, it pretty much sucks. I think it may finally be quieting down though.

Yea, we often do not think about "bodily functions" when we glamorize the last cowboys (truckers) or Astronauts - until they decide to set the tempo!

Hope things settle down soon for your bowels.
