Hi guys and gals! First of all, it's an amazing thing to have a tribute suite made for you, and even MORE amazing when you see all the talented people who have contributed and made it so bloody brilliant! I have downloaded all the skins from the suite and had a play with them, and they are all really nice to use.

Some of you may be wondering where I disappeared to so suddenly, leaving behind one of my greatest loves, skinning. Well, my wife has cancer and we have been concentrating on trying to get her well again. She has had a couple of operations recently and we are awaiting the results of the last one (which she had about a week ago) to see if everything is clear. Fingers crossed!!

I have 3 children aged 16, 14 and 3, so as you can imagine, life has been a little hectic.
I quit my job at the casino too as I was finding it difficult to work nights and do all the other stuff too. So, now you know what dragged me away from creating skins and themes, and I'm sure you all appreciate that some things are more important than our hobbies and pastimes, no matter how much we love them!

Anyway, back to this wonderful tribute suite...... I truly never expected people to get together and do something like this for me, and it's actually quite moving. I always just made stuff for fun or for myself, so it's nice to know that people remember me and the stuff I made.

TheD2JBug is the person responsible for this, and I have to thank him again for coming up with this idea and making it come together. And to ALL the skinners and artists that put their time into this... THANK YOU!!! You warmed my heart.

And of course..... a special mention to Kitty Malone for taking on the window blind, i KNOW how hard it is to make one of them, and you did a great job. I know you are having a few problems of your own from what I have read tonight, so, take care.

I hope you don't mind if I don't comment on all the individual skins in the suite, it would take forever and I don't have too much time these days. Suffice to say, I love them all and they will stay with me forever and remind me of all the wonderful people that populate this site.

 

Maybe I'll get to skin again some day, who knows? But if I do, I will dedicate the first new thing that I make to all you guys that did this for me.

I hope your wife comes though this alright. I really do. As most here know my wife passed away form cancer in January after 3 years of suffering. I know what your going though except we didn't have any kids. Man, I hope she beats this. I kinda gave up on praying but I'm going to start again TODAY.

I'm a tough skinned old fart but it took me awhile to read this thread for the tears in my eyes. I PRAY TO GOD SHE MAKES IT OK.

BoXXi, You have been in my thoughts and prayers off and on since you left. I now know why you couldn't share with us the reason. I'm glad you have shared the heartache you have been going through and now I know exactly how to pray for you and your lovely wife and beautiful children. Bless You All.

Awwwwwww........ Thank you again folks, you really are wonderful people!
Kirsty is doing ok since the operation, recovering well I'm happy to say. But, we don't find out until the 28th of August whether the operation was truly successful or not,and that they got all the cancer out. So, fingers crossed for that day!

You people humble me with your kindness and generosity of spirit, and I'm sure your kind wishes and prayers have helped in some way.

You don't know me, Boxxi but I try to help (among others) Cancer patients (I'm an MD) and I'm just writing this to let you know that I wish you all well, and I wish you love and health. I also wish this loving, caring community many, many years of each others' company.
Boxxi, stay positive ;) ...incidentally, she's absolutely beautiful.

Hi Guys and Gals..... A few of you said you would like to be kept updated on Kirsty's Progress. Well, it seems that the operation wasn't a complete success as they found cancer cells on the edges of the part that they removed, so, they said she will have to have Radiotherapy to try and kill any remaining cancer.
This will happen in the next few weeks, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will work and she will be free of it at last.
They also said that this treatment could have an adverse effect on the skin graft that she had to have, so they may have to re-do that too :(
Anyway, thank you again for all your good wishes and prayers, we really do appreciate it.
