Vista x64 system tray support with Impulse update

Does it work?

Hello,

I'm considering buying objectdock plus.  I have Vista Ultimate x64.

I've read here on the forums that system tray and start menu doesn't work with 64-bit windows versions in 1.9, but I've read conflicting information on whether updates available through Impulse, or a pre-release version available there, enable this feature.

I'd like a clear answer on whether the system tray and start menu work as they should with the Impulse updates or the pre-release version available through there.

If they work, I'll buy it.  I'd appreciate a screenshot if you have 64-bit windows and have gotten it to work.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the post! Glad to see the start menu working, but my primary concern in the system tray. I see in your screenshot it's still on the taskbar (which I am aiming to be rid of). Does the system tray not work as well?

EDIT: Oh no, I see now the system tray is right there! Apologies!

In response to your e-mail, I use version 1.9, updated through Impulse (now on version 1.91k[a].025).

Try this:

1. Open Impulse and right-click on the "Stardock" logo orb in the upper left of the Impulse window.
2. Click on "Preferences".
3. Make sure "Show Pre-Release (Alpha/Beta) Versions" is checked.

Once you have done this, check to see if there is a new beta of OD+. There should be one for version 1.91k[a].025.

Unfortunately this wont work anymore. All pre-release version have been made unavailable.

Can someone send me a D/L link for the 1.91 beta? I promise not to give it out to anyone else.

Seriously, the no "real" start menu and no system tray in Vista64 is getting very old. I did create the vbs script to call up Vista's native start menu from that shortcut, but getting rid of the task bar completely is still not an option until 1.91 becomes REALLY available.
