I had the same problem with my skin, NT!

I originally had my pop up menus with a rounded corner (.png, transparent) and my favorites menu with sharp corners (.bmp opaque).
As with your skin, WB tried to paint both images at the same time, making a "ghost" menu under the fav's :SURPRISED:

I finally gave up and made my pop up menus the same shape as my fav's. A compromise I was not happy with.

Hopefully someone can help us?

Well I just did each for my latest thing and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, however the design of it wasn't rounded corners or anything either, its a pretty rigid design. ~shrug~

This was the issue I discussed with you the other day.

I'll check out some other blinds to see if any have rounded corners and how the menu acts

Recognize the skin?

This effect doesn't happen right away when you open the favs menu. You'll see it first after the first submenu pops out.

um, no heh Come on John you of all people should know how blokes like us are VERY particular about that sort of thing. I've seen it happen like that when there is no specifically skinned favorites menu. Or, when you've tried to use a semitransparent background.. ect ect. But I've not seen it happen when properly skinned before.

Maybe something in one of the latest updates? Actually just had a thought of one of the differences in my latest skin and Crystalline. The menus in my current one are squared off so I let wb add the shadow to it. But, Crystalline had rounded corners so I 'skinned' the shadow. Wonder if enabling/disabling this shadow feature for the menus has an effect.... (me tried this to test it real quick) Oh well, thats didn't do it  (:(  You can check Crystalline it is skinned properly and it DID work right.

It broke a couple of version ago. :) I made compromises on my last 2 skins but I don't want to on this one. :)

I will take a look into this.

That menu should only use the MSMenus section.  Be aware that it does not support transparency (magic pink or per pixel)

Well.. probably because last several skins of mine have had square menus..VEEEEEEEESTAAAA... so for me..yeah.. always been that way  ;p

While I'm at it, heres a few things I noted last time I skinned vista.

things id like..

active and inactive states for commandbar and Infopane glass sections.

font color control for commandbar, infopane, folders bar and arrow image skinning for folders bar.

Complete control over font colors and system menu colors\mousovers.

Problem areas...

Needs two seperate buttons and background images added for large IE back\forward arrows. Using the small arrows\background 'stretched' makes the large arrows look really bad.

Vista tray content margins always need to be adjusted 1 down, top and bottom compared to XP.. also when applying a new theme in the taskbar needs to be unlocked, stretched double and sized back to normal for the tray icons to center.

Start menu font colors and Item Mousover is more faded in Vista compared to XP.

Antialisaing isnt working correctly in Vista Popup context menu fonts and per pixel titlebar fonts. (My personal worst issue.) You can compare XP to Vista right click menus and BMP frames to per pixel frames.. to see differences. (Major) :SNIFF!:
