Leveling up..Both Single and Multiplayer.

Is there a difference between Single Player level-ups and Multiplayer level-ups?

And do you start at ground zero all over again on each new map/battlegorund? Or does your level stay with you and progress as in an RPG?

Thanks for the responses.

There's a persistent and a non-persistent mode.

Single Player is supposed to be like an intro to Multiplayer so I expect the core system to be the same.

Leveling up is done by killing others (obviously).

I believe at the start of each multiplayer game you will start at "ground zero", however I believe there are different modes available in multiplayer which can allow you to carry across achievements won into new games.

yes and yes.

So far, they have discussed 3 different modes.
1. Single player

2. Multiplayer everyone starts at ground zero, level playing field (literally), and battles their way up.

3. Persistent multiplayer. The results of your multiplayer battles will effect future multiplayer battles in this mode. The details of how (arena control, demigod items, levels, skills, stats, etc)for this mode have not been fully explained.

You will earn some achievements. These achievements will be displayed as various details in the game.
For example your stronghold will be look a little different if you have earned an achievement which effects something around your castle (like more hitpoints = bigger castle or something like that).
In one of the interviews you can find a passage which deals with the achievement system.

As far as I´ve understood it, it will be a little compareable to the achievement system of Call of Duty.
