Do You NEED Impulse to Download the Final (not BETA) Version 1.1?

Hello. I would like to know if once V1.1 BETA is over, do I NEED Impulse to download it? Or can I still download it like other patches once it's released?

Cause theyr dropping support for SD Central in favor of their newer program Impulse. That would be my guess.
