Cannot Connect

When me and my friend attempt to join a game that one of us have made, the game stalls for 5 seconds, then boots us from lobby and doesnt allow us to connect.

We can join games that each other are in though. We both run routers and we have those ports open that are needed, and firewalls are off.

Why is this happening? What can we do to fix this? Help!

Please download and read the guide I published on the subject back in Feb. "Networking and SINS" which can be found linked-to from the very bottom of the Technical FAQ, or under the GREEN writing in the OP of this thread

You may have "forwarded" the ports from your routers to your PC, but if your cable/dsl modems are also routers (many people are in this double-NAT scenarios these days) then you'll have to make adjustments as per my guide.
