You might also want to check out Shrapnelgames Weird Worlds. It's a fun short game with pretty decent graphics and surprising depth when it comes to ship combat.

This is interesting. It's been a long time since my last time finishing any strategy game. Spring and SoaSE are too long, and I never load in SoaSE.
