How to activate 'Find System'?

Can someone please tell me how to activate the 'Find System' functionality?

Thanks!

click on the find button. It will go thru each ship (sequencially) that hasnt moved. If all ships have moved, you hear a weird sound. If you hear that, hit end turn.

Uh, he said "find SYSTEM"... not sure about that, though. If I get a message about a particular system that isn't mine, I suppose you could contact each AI and look through their planets to find it.

A Find systems button would be a lot more useful than Find ships. I use Tab to cycle through ships anyway.

The planet list can be sorted alphabetically, so you can take advantage of that. I have a habit of naming my planets in a [X Coordinate].[Y Coordinate].[Base PQ].[Name] format (e.g. "17.08.20.Sol") so sorting by name would result in a geographic sort too.

OMG ZaH you've gone too far this time. You are taking all the fun out of the game! LOL ROFL

Give your ships and planets REAL names. I'm going to name my first battleship Galactica. :) heh I'm so excited...

Frankly, I'd like to see a FIND SYSTEM command that worked for (known) alien systems and uninhabited systems as well.

I mean, how's this for time-consuming? I get a report that a heretofore-undiscovered Precusor something-or-other causes a planet in the LOOKFORMEFOREVER system to suddenly become a friggin' paradise. I'd like a way to locate said system *other* than having to look - sector by sector - across all of known space. What's worse is when it's an uninhabited system because the name of the system doesn't appear unless you click on the star. Hmmm... perhaps a simple feature to add for the expansion? :)

I mainly just name my starbases--e.g. Prod x-y or Influ x-y, etc. I hadn't thought about naming my planets. That's a pretty good idea. :)

In this particular case, I needed the ability to find a system that was *previously* mine but which the Torian had just captured. In this case, the planetary list wouldn't have helped.

Speaking of the Planet List, does anyone else find it to be a real pain to have to hit the previous or next button a dozen times to cycle between sorting by name vs. class vs. production, etc?

zergfest - I agree it's a pain. It would be nice if they change it to choose from a drop-down box. Use a button to change it between ascending or descending order.

And back to the topic, I think it would be really nice if they make a Find System button or something.

It only finds ships not in orbit or not in autopilot, not very useful.

I have the uncolonized planet list on my list of stuff to do, but I haven't had time to work on anything new lately, just answer posts and fix bugs.
