RP Question: Preventing unfair and unRP technologies/strategies/whatever

So, I'm thinking about joining the Sins multiplayer crowd, for the RP (and hopefully non-stupid teammates). My question is, how do you prevent players from using unfair/unRP things, such as the Returning Armada technologie, as it could be considered unRP for two reasons:
1. If no one finds you, you can simply make a build order for RA and get it quite quickly as that would be the only thing you would focus on.
2. Yes, I know the basic backstory of the Vasari, but it wouldn't neccesarily fit every players backstory.

Also, I have made an ICO online account, but when I login, there's no screen to join games or anything. What's up with that?

You have to add a player and then click use player. Once this is done you can enter into the lobby and join games from there.
