(uxsms) error

can someone tell me what I need to do? I keep getting a message that desktop window manager (uxsms) service required to be running to function, and gives me this address to go for more information. Running Vista ultimate SP1,

I had this problem. Have you run the Windows Experience Index? It wouldn't work for me until I did that.

I have the same issue ***Damn Vista*** I have run the Windows Experience Index and done multiple stop and restarts through DOS and doesn't seem to be helping at all. If anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated :-)

Try going to: Control panel:  -  Administrative tools  then select services       When services opens  (sometimes takes a while)  Scroll down to desktop  window startup services  right click  And select Re-start  Hope this helps did for me !
