GC: dread lords wont start

Hiya guys. Ive got a problem with GC:DreadLords, hoping you can help me out.

basically, when i put my disk in to install GC, an error comes up saying 'GC2Launch.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.'

So, i work around it, go into my computer, explore CD, and start Setup on disk, so i can install. Installs fine.

But when i click on the desktop icon to play, the error pops up again. I dont know what to do. I dont know if its anything to do with the disk, or my computer, or what.

There are a variety of reasons the launcher might fail (overactive antivirus programs are a popular culprit). In any case, you can simply change the shortcut to point at GalCiv2.exe instead of GC2Launch.exe, and run the game directly.

Come to think of it, GC never played after i started using Norton Security. Bah!
