Can't update from version 1.00.001 :(

So I have a copy of Political Machine 2008 installed from a disc I was sent.  The installed version shows up on Impulse as v1.00.001.  But Impulse shows the latest version as being today's 1.01.023.  However, there's no option to actually install the update.  Instead, my only options are to ignore the update or uninstall the game. :(  Anyone know how to get from version 1.00.001 to the latest version?  I'm convinced I'm missing out on all sorts of cool new stuff!

It's showing the wrong buttons in the blurb box on the right? How about the right-click context menu on the PM08 item itself in the games list?

How about installing through Impulse?  Your registration data should work there an then you'll have the latest version.

Hey Tom,

Is this still giving you trouble? I've put this in the hands of the right people, but unfortunatly there's little us game devs can do about Impulse and regestry problems...besides forwarding bugs, that is :)

On the bright side, 1.01 is pretty much the same as 1.0 besides a few minor fixes and an updated 'Interview' in the Europa scenerio.

We were going to go crazy with LOTS of bonus features for the 'Day 1 update', but find that most players don't even notice the bonus content is since they haven't played the game yet.

I dont know how many times people asked 'Where do I get the Dreadlords 'Bonus Pack'?' when it turned out they had it all along  (:( 

In a few weeks we'll be releasing 1.1 which WILL have lots of cool new features (more candidate peices, interviews, print-shop options, ect).

Maybe I just need to unlock it by playing the campaign (damn unlockable features! ;)), but I would love a nice robe for a body type for a gentleman.

My Bobblehead Jeebus candidate is almost perfect . . . just needs Jeebus robes. :CONGRAT:

We figured out the problem. We're going to do an Impulse update to make it more intuitive today.

Basically, if you get the retail version, you have to enter in your serial # bor it to update. Impulse detects it's installed but it doesn't (at that point) have the serial #. 

So we're updating Impulse to open up the registration window when a user tries to update but hasn't put in the serial.
