OK the easiest and best password technique

OK with all the post I have seen on passwords and on how hard a time some people have making them I have the worlds best solution and its EASY and SIMPLE and the passwords generated CAN NOT BE BROKEN (thats a challenge).

Use a ficticious e-mail made up address. What do I mean? If your looking for a password for yahoo use something like "[email protected]" Replace Joe User with your name, your kids name or your favorite TV stars name. That password has upper case, lower case, special characters, and numbers. And its longer than 12 characters. But most importantly its easy to do and easy to remember.

Example: Password for say your First National Account: [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]

make them up, make them silly or serious or whatever, just use Upper case, Lower Case, a specila character and numbers. The numbers could be your zip, birthday whatever. This technique is easy and they are easy to remember.

I use word association like say ou812 ( don't use that too obivous)

I like your idea but you should be more than 8 characters and better at least 12. The permutations for that many with upper case, lower case and number is better, throw in a special character and it would be better. Using AOPR the one you cite would last about 6-10 hours on a good machine. But still good with the combination of characters.

I understand, they were just examples of how to make a good but rememberable password. Generic passwords or email address type are really easy for me to forget. When I use word association it seems that I can remember it and that's hurdle number 1 with passwords for me.

I have a random password generator on my PDA and it gives me good stuff. You just have to come up with an acronym after you get whatever it's generated.

^^ That's a good Idea also as long you can come up with that acronym ;p
