Hello everyone.

My ingame race names are either PaxConsortium or NomadWarriorSoul, usually the first though when playing TEC so far.  I played mostly offline for a time while waiting for patches etc and have recently made the jump to multiplayer.  I am no stranger to RTS / 4x games and am old enough to have started off writing my own games on a Tandy 1000 (basically a overglorified calculator lol!) over 22 years ago, so I've lived through most of the history of computer gaming and also played tons of board game strategies such as mechwarrior and starfleet battles.

So far since the patch I've managed to by combination of luck and skill win almost every game I've played.. which hasn't been many so it's not all it sounds like, but now that I've seen the average player in SoaSE I'm much more confident in my own ability to carry my own weight and coordinate/help my allies.  I'm a team player first and would rather die alongside my ally than allow them to be overrun while I play simbase :P  So perhaps I don't always follow the absolute best strategic logic but it's out of a sense of honour that I do such things.

 

If I sound like a good fit, I would be interested in discussing joining a group.  Honestly though, I am reluctant to jump right into anything, I will ask I get to know and play with people from the group first to see how our personalities mesh, and then decide.  If these are acceptable terms, perhaps we should talk...

How about Rebel Genius? I just joined and found the others members very nice. Right now we are a small clan that is focused on SINS. From what I learned from the older members, they were bigger when they planned the First Homeworld but when it ended the RG fell apart. I am new to Sins, and would like to know if I can watch a game online and just view the play as a online as it happens or as a downlod vidio (overall or from a player perspective). I have been through all the training options but when playing beacuse of the options it is at present confusing as to the options and keys. Also I have been unable to get printout or map of the key options (I know this may change with MODed game) but even the basic/standardare not avaliable in hard copy or is it just me.
Want to learn more.

Yes Nequa, checking into RG (I read the threads here from the RG members) and they do sound cool. I just have been working ridiculous hours and haven't had much down time that's all ;)

I'm still around, just taking part in the beta and still staying mostly offline because I don't have enough RAM to not lag large maps on fast speeds. Runs fine on normal ship movement but those games don't exist anymore :/

I've fixed my lack of RAM issue.  Studied units (up to latest beta 3, which I'm part of) and tactcs.

We are starting a Sins clan called System Dominance Syndicate (SDS).  We are a group that has been into Freelancer for sometime.  Due to the interest of severeal members (myself included), we are now setting up a Sins unit.  We are small.  We currently have 4 active members.  I am in my late 30's and the 2nd youngest member of the 4.  We are very laid back and easy to get along with.  As for experieance, we each have had the game for about 2-3 months.  If you are interested, PM me and let me know.  Thanks.
