My thought is 1C is too busy on King's Bounty. And Yarlen hasn't said much cause he's hard at work so we just have to wait, as much as it hurts!

1C download section - I'm pretty sure there was a link to SR2 (ver 1.3) just a couple of days ago, now that link has disappeared.

I don't think I want to know the answer to this question, but...

Since that is the same date SD is releasing Impulse, will the SR2 expansion still be available on SDCentral or totalgaming.net as well?...i.e will we be able to purchase the game w/tokens?

I've been holding onto my tokens just for this occasion

I have one token left, it's apparently 2 so I guess I better use it on something else.

I did use it on KODA but it wasn't Vista compatible. Something TGN needs to make clear!

I know that the expansion isn't out on TG.Net yet, but...

Can you tell us if the TG.Net version of the expansion works with the boxed version of the game? I have the boxed version that I bought before it was added to TG.Net. It would be great if the TG.Net expansion can be applied to the retail version, and additionally, if it removes the StarForce requirement.

"We will be selling the expansion by itself (if you already own the original game) - it's not standalone - and as part of a bundle."

When I first heard about the expansion in EG forums the russian version was already out and it was SF free. Now the question remains what happens if you own the boxed version which uses SF and then add the SF free add-on ?? I see complications

Yes all digital versions are SF free. I imagine the add on will overwrite the original exe and free you from starforce.

Why isn't it possibly to buy the expansion as a download?

If you aren't in the US you can't buy it. I'm from the UK.

I guess Europeans will have to get it from 1C Publishing, who have yet to respond with much efficiency.

I was a little confused how to actually get the game, so I figured I'd post what I did while I wait for the download to complete:

0) buy the game, tokens or not (I used tokens)
1) if you've got Impulse open, close it
2) Open Impulse, it will perform an auto-update (if it hasn't already done so for you) which will involve closing the application again and restarting it
3) after the update, click the stardock orb in the upper left hand corner, then "Register a product"
4) in the white display pane, click on "Click to register new product" under "Add a new registration"
5) in the "add/edit registrations" form at the top, pick "Cinemaware" for "Product Category", and "Space Rangers 2: Reboot" for "Product"; it should pre-populate your stardock.net account email address for you, and paste in your serial number into the serial number box, and click "Add registration", it may take a moment to complete
6) go to "My Games", click on "Space Rangers 2: Reboot" (it should say "Available"), then on "Install" in the bottom right corner
7) it's reading 860.16 MB in size, so it'll take a bit of time.

That makes no sense - I bought the original as a download.

But how did you get a serial number?
