now building nothing

I constantly get reports that a planet is "now building nothing", but in fact there is a build project waiting? Dark avatar does not exibit this problem. Is this a new bug?

It happens when you rush buy more than 1 improvement per planet via the colony manager screen 'bug'. Being able to buy more than 1 improvement per planet per week wasn't intended, so it's no big surprise it is happening now...

I have also noticed that the Civilization Manager screen that lists all colonies does not auto refresh. I have to go out and then back into for a current update.

On another related note. I have also noticed that the planet will report building nothing and yet still be upgrading current structures. Technically it isn't building anything..but it's still spending cash to upgrade.

It also happens in some other cases. It's a remnant of a bug that was partially solved during TA beta-testing...

It's not quite that bad. If you just go to another tab (like Timeline) and then back to the colony list, it will refresh.

You can also just click the colony management tab to refresh. Saves you on clicking to timeline and back.

I have fixed this today, and it will be in one of our updates.

Even though you guys would probably rather I didn't, I fixed this today. You can no longer buy more than one ship or improvement per colony via the Civ manager screen. It will be in one of our updates.

I am unable to reproduce this problem, LightVader. Can you tell me how it is happening. Give me some steps to reproduce it and I'll get it fixed ASAP.

Thanks guys,

It happens consistently for me when I colonize a planet, buy a spaceport, and then start building some other improvement. On the start of the next turn, the planet reports that the spaceport is complete and the planet is now building nothing (even though in reality it is now building that other improvement).

Yep, just like that. Consistently.

This is how it happens for me. If you rush buy an improvement when there is not an improvement in the queue already then add an improvement.

Okay guys, I'll look into it.

Thanks,

If you buy a building on a planet, and at the time you have no other buildings queued up, then next turn you will get a message saying building nothing even if you then queued up more buildings later on that turn (after rush-buying).

This happens constantly to me, and not just after a rush-buy. This behavior has been there in every iteration of the game, IIRC. Thanks for looking into it. It isn't a game breaker, but it is annoying. Congrats on your Redwings, btw.
