let me dream
if only for a while
to get away from the harsh truths of life.
let me look up at the stars
and imagine myself sparkling one day like them
so white
pure
radiant and untouched,
it makes that much easier to fight .
let me be alice in wonderland
so that i can face reality
with the bliss of the ignorant
and believe
that i too, can make my dreams come true.
if only for a while
