Same before and after update:DVD drive E icon appears when the window first opens,then it defaults back instantly.Minor,imo.Recoloring a package creates a subfolder in public documents/stardock/icon packager/packagename/colored.The one I tested with was 20mb in size.So I now have 40mb of space occupied by this package.Same for all that I've recolored,except a couple that also have a back-up file!How do I temporarily change the colors without creating a duplicate file? Or do I just have to delete it manually? I have a small HDD (since birth) and need to conserve space. 32bit Vista,btw.Updated through Impulse,restarted,ran IP. Thanks in advance.

As Mike already mentioned, the devs are aware of optical drive not being skinned.

Still no word on the 'can't find ... activate.exe', but I asked Mike in my reply if that and the optical drive problem were related and if the update released today was intended to fix that activation issue or the not activating on install issue.

More when I hear back!

In my case the update to IP 4.00.165 (x86) has cured the activation issue, Install, (not activate exe issue). Thanks all involved.
The optical drive icon issues remain unchanged at this time.

I shall wait a little while before opting for 4.00.###. 163 & 164 still lost MS Office icons amongst others and I won't waste time with 165 until I am sure it will work.

I can't understand why in this version the program close unexpectedly why I want to save a new package.

Can anybody help me?

Ok... I have the icons ready to create a new icontheme.

1st attempt: I'll try going to "Icons & Cursor" tab and changing the icons and then going to "Save Icon Package/Save as"... The program close. And I lost all changes.

2nd attempt: The same but before to save I'll apply and then "Save Icon Package/Save as". The result was the same.

3th attempt: I used the "Package Builder" and did the same. THe result was the same.

Yes, and if you look at my post (#40)it's worse than that. I have determined from going in and deleting all the duplicate,colored icon files that the image corruption occurs in the recolored packages.Some were totally unusable. The originals are ok.I can recolor or change brightness, IP creates a duplicate,sometimes corrupt package but will not apply them. The SS in #40 shows them manually applied to desktop shortcuts.I'm not going to recolor anything else until this is straightened out.

D. Arnaez - try this here - uninstall IP4 [do a restart]and reinstall with Impulse. Then under the my desktop tab - right click the IP4 button to revel a drop down menu and select re-activate.Then run the IP4 program.
See if this makes a difference in how the program runs for you after you do this.

I've noticed that for some reason with IP4 (Vista x86, newest available through Impulse) the Control Panel icon on the start menu does not change with any IP theme I've tried.

If I go to Icons & Cursors and select Start it's shown as default, I can apply the proper icon and save it but by doing so Iconpackager seems to change certain ones to default, some icons even disappear when doing this.

EDIT: As long as I don't save and overwrite it seems to work okay.

Astyanax0 - check the settings tab and see if the control panel icons are checked. That and if it is the start menu be sure the start menu icons are checked also. If all of this is checked I would consider uninstalling and reinstalling again. Be sure to do a restart after uninstall.

All is checked, this is actually a fresh install from a recent format, it happened on x64 as well which is where im returning from. It never seemed to get changed once the IP4 beta came out, I just figured it was acknowledged in the beta and would be fixed...

Mine here on Vista Ultimate 32 bit works perfectly with no flaws at all.
There has been some problems with getting a first time install - I would reinstall again and see.

Tried with no success...

Got me baffled - best to contact support. Mine is working fine here and it has to be some other issue you are having. I do not think it is the program.
