N00b requires help!

Hi all,

 

Played the demo and realised what a great game this is, so I purchased it online :)

Have a quick question though. I'm just playing a singleplayer skirmish medium sized galaxy with 3 normal AI's. I'm currently doing very well, but I need to increase my fleet capacity. When I hover over the 3rd fleet icon it says I need 1 research in 'standardised depot' or something to that effect. I have researched most of the civ tech tree, and a good portion of the military one, but I can't for the life of me find this 'standardised depot research'!!! I have almost maxed out the capital ship research above the fleet ones, but i need a larger fleet!!

 

I'm sure i'm being stupid, but any help would be appreciated!!

Are you saying that I had not yet researched the 2nd fleet icon before trying the 3rd icon?

Likely that's the case. You can't jump a fleet supply upgrade in the research process - each is a predecessor of the one after it.
