Newbie

from WinCustomize Forums
Hey guys! What's goin' on? My name is Eric and I guess I'm the new guy. I'm already familar with customs but hacking and customizing my Pocket PC and was curious if there was a way to do it with Windows. All I did was Google and here I am. I've already started to change the way my icons look and hoping to do much more. Can't wait to learn everything! =)

Whats up Eric? Welcome to Wincustomize. Your gonna love it here...Windowblinds is the best place to start. Download the trial version and start downloading from the Windowblind library. Good luck and I'm sure we'll cross paths soon!

WOW! What a warm welcome! lol Never came close to that on the XDA-Developers Forums for my Pocket PC. I'll try my best to read everything before I ask questions. But if I ask a question that has already been answered, I apologize in advance. BTW, thanx for letting me know where to get started! Take care guys! =)

Depending on your OS and/or the program in question

1) Reboot
2) It's defined by the skin
3) 16 colors not 16 bit
4) Make sure you're using 32bit color
5) You need to be in builder mode, then right click on it
6) It's gotta be edited in the uifile
7) Renaming it won't work, you have to convert it
8) You can get more 'edge room' by placing your image within a larger blank .png.
9) Archive that version and try the beta
10) Reinstall SDC over itself

You were in the SCREEN SHOT Gallery....
It's only a picture...

No number of clicks and/or hotkey combinations wil cause the skins/themes/widgets/cursors/etc shown on that picture to magically install on your computer.

Try putting a SS as wallpaper with the same theme. :p

Yup. Then you set it to hide the icons and watch someone try to use it. ;)

11) Copy your system info from the windowblinds configuration window and paste here.
12) When submitting skins, remember to send chocolate to the moderators.  ;)
