I Skinned Myself!

I Skinned Myself!

You always hear me talking about ways to customize your Windows desktop, well I took it a step further and actually skinned myself this past weekend.  This isn't my first, but it is the largest single tattoo I have at this time.

Don't think I haven't thought about it.   ;) If it weren't for (almost) all my surplus (what surplus?) income going towards daughter-type costs I'd do it in a hearbeat.  The lizard-monkey would be fun to explain to folks that asked.   :CONGRAT:

Did that when I was young and stupid...wanting to fit in/be one of the 'in-crowd...

Now almost 40 years later, I wish that I'd thunk it through over a few more heartbeats... 10 tatts later I realise they weren't 10 of my better decisions.

Sadly, tatt removal is neither cheap or particularly effective.

My wife has one and she's been bugging for us to get a Tat together. Maybe
Don't do it dude. I still have an old grilfriends name on my arm. I've left it to remind me not to do that again. I was 15 for my first, the old needle and thread with india ink. I stopped at 19. There have been times when I wish I hadn't gotten so many.

That's why you get ones that mean something to you not ones that are there just so you can show you have them. ;)

 yeah a girlfriends name is never a good idea. Life changes to easily.

Although I was recently joking with mine that I could get one of her name since her name is April and I was born in April. That way I could always just add the day and year after it if it ended. ;)

My mother's (last) husband got a Harley Davidson tattoo on his wrist (at a time when they were almost broke).  I saw part of it under a bracelet and asked if it was my mother's name (her name is Debby and I saw the 'y' in "Harley").

He says, "Hell no! A tattoo is forever!".

My mother, who was sitting at the table, started crying quietly to herself.   :NOTSURE:  :SNIFF!:

They meant something at the time! However, that's not the reason for my regret, but rather that I no longer think tattoos are cool and I'm indelibly stamped, it's as simple as that.

Understandable.

Even if I had never had an urge to get a tattoo before in my life, I still would've gotten the ones I have. As much as I hope not to live to an extremely senile old age, mine memorialize someone that I will never want to forget, they will serve as a reminder if I do.

I'd never get anything like that, but I've got to say they did a damn good job on it.
