That was the intention behind the system. You earn Karma by your actions.

2:People with no Karma aren't helpful at all.BS
Helping others or posting a good comment on a skin or article is "digging" for Karma.You just shut me up!I guess feeling indebted to this site, wanting to help others,supporting Stardock, or admiring that which I can't create is somehow "suspicious" How about you just take that crap off of my profile?I'll settle for a "0" (:(

The karma system is universal across all accounts.  There is no opt-out option.

It's a "fun" point thing.  They don't do anything.  You can't rate people down.  If you don't like/care about the number, ignore it.

Since my last post was a little harsh, let me explain.I think people will tend to judge others based on these numbers.(Human nature)However, the Karma points don't reflect the true worth of everyone. There are some ,imo who deserve them,who have little or none.Whom,you may ask?Why,the skinners who spend most of their free time creating, or those working behind the scenes,not posting in the forums.What about support? If it wasn't for Travis, I still wouldn't be registered and milksama deserves some credit too.Skinners,imo should get points for XXX amount of downloads,being featured,or innovative.Don't get me wrong, I'm not ungrateful of my points,I just feel others aren't getting a fair share,based on what they contribute to the community.Am I making any sense here? :p

Now that's a multi-tasker,if I ever saw one. One question, at the top (under the original post)it has no way to give Karma to the original poster. Why not? Unless they reply,you can't thank them for a good post. Just wondering.
