Windowblinds Configuration window display issue

I've been having this same issue for a long time now and have given up running WB.  I've done multiple complete uninstalls of WB and even SDC but it's been no help.  I kept thinking a later build would fix it but I haven't had any luck yet.

Here's the issue I have:

The area showing my wallpaper doesn't refresh.   If I put another window over the WB Config window then move it out of the way that area shows the section of the prior on top window still.

Is nView enabled? If yes, try disabling it.

All screens are at native, 1680x1050. nView is not enabled.

[Edit] I just tried lowering my main display to 1024x768 and the WB Config main panel is still shifted the same.

I had same problem and found it was a conflict with a programme. DirectFolders - uninstalled the prog. and it's fine now!

Gah! That's it for me too :(

Oh, perfect. I set up an exclusion in Direct Folders and now WB Config looks normal! Thanks for the help. I had tried to eliminate likely suspects but I didn't think about Direct Folders. Glad I don't have to decide to do without it though, I think I'd have to keep it over WB.

Yikes - you mean I can use DF? How did u exclude?

:D

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on the Settings tab. Select "Change the look of an app" tab and then "Add per application setting". Locate the exe for the program you wish to exclude and select it. In the screen that appears put a check mark in "Ignore this application and do not skin it". Click OK and that should do it.

Purrdy, Settings Panel > Change the look of an app > add per application setting

Total Exclusion is worst case but may be your best option. Trial & Error via Feature Disabling & Advanced Features first to see if a Total Exclusion is required. :)

Actually just saying don't resize windows in DF works!

But the feature I like most in Direct Folders won't work - double click on desktop does nothing, I can only use from system tray! Is this something in DesktopX?

What function does Direct Folders do when you double click on the desktop. More specificly what function are you trying to run that does not seem to work?

I watched the demo for direct folders.......you might want to try RightClick.......it has all the same capabilities but works a little different.

Nothing when I left click and I get a mini start menu on right click?

Purry . . yeah . . that's a DX theme window you have pictured.

WBlinds got ahold of the software and developed a work around. A new update has been sent. Look for it through Impulse as soon as the techs can make it available! If you have questions or issues let us know!

Okay - cool - hope it comes through SDC.....

Which DX theme?
Anytime you run a DX desktop I think.

So even if u put together your own desktop, if u use DX u get that menu? Funny, I've only had that since I reinstalled last week...

Purrdy:

To add an exlusion in Direct Folders, open the DF configuration and go to the Applications tab and Add wbconfig.exe, then uncheck Enable.

Sounds like Windowblinds is about to be updated to fix the issue though if I'm following this thread correctly. The comments about adding an exclusion in WB are going the wrong way. The problem is DF apparently attempting to resize the WB Config window and causing the tearing.

Working great except.. left click on desktop doesn't bring up DF menu.. :(

If it doesn't work I might as well just use my docks..

DF doesn't work off the desktop, just Explorer windows. It's not a program launcher.

But it says if you double left click on desktop u get your DF menu....
