First Impressions

I have been using impluse for abouta week now and wanted to offer my first impressions.

I can't quite put my finger on it yet, but there is something just a little frustrating about the interface.  Pretty much all the info and commands that I need are there, but it doesn't feel like it.  Perhaps it is me just not accustomed to such an iterface, or perhaps it is just not intuitive.  Something is just missing.  Perhaps higher contrast between the background and the buttons (including the icons at the top right) would be in order.

While I can see that much effort has ben put into making the interface very efficient and simple, I think it could do with some more feedback.  Perhaps a progress bar when installing updates (not just downloading them) or a second line listing what file it is copying/working on.  Just something so you know what is happening.

I may be in the minority in my feelings here, but I thought it may enable you to improve your product.

CommanderGizmo early on folks took to customizing what Impulse looked like. I haven't tried it yet but if you check the following link to an earlier post you might want to give it a try. WWW Link

I was wondering why the Impulse Beta forums had no stickies or official threads for such.

First impression: I tried Impulse and I don't like the interface. It is full of colors and I find it disturbing. If I search for something, it is hidden in those flaring colors. And the program is pretty slow in comparison with the old interface.
