What happens when I put a tech capital on a tech tile?

If I have a tile that gives 100% to research, should I put a technological capital there or would it be a waste?  i.e. would it be better to have a 100% lab + 100% capital vs. a 100%+100% tile and a lab?

Complete waste - bonus tile only boosts structures that produce points. A tech capital or research coordinator does not directly produce points, so they don't get boosted.

The simple fact that Frogboy himself responded to this thread, is just so damn amusing and funny to me. And it made me think of the "Good Robot" news screen popping up and making the Player feel bad for even thinking of putting a tech capital on a research bonus tile. The audacity of it all.

It's interesting that this behavior isn't universal though - influence and morale are +% bonuses, so it's not unreasonable to assume that tech and industry would work that way too...

Save game, put it there, check the research output. Load game, put there a lab, compare the research output to the previous one. Just 100 seconds of work, and you'll now for your whole life.

That or the game has anxiety issues.


Some of the epic crashes I've experienced suggest it might be the latter :NOTSURE:
