Fair Week!!

Tomorrow is the offical start of our county's fair! I'm so happy! A whole week out of school! And just think of all the food! Oh my, I'm making myself hungry just thinking about it.
I'm nervous about monday and tuesday though. But mainly monday. Monday is the day that the dairy/market goat show is. And this year at the fair I'm going to be showing a market wether, a milking goat, and a meat doe. I'm so nervous! I'm afriad that my market goat is either not meaty enough or too fat! I'm not sure at this point. His weight keeps shifting around like crazy. It's like one day he'll weight like 87 pounds, then the next he'll weight 97! I think the main reason is that he's a really smart and stubborn goat. He can jump almost any fence we put up. We tried to keep him in a pen of his own so he could get all the food he wanted, but he kept getting out. So when he got out into the other goats pen he was able to run out in the pasture causing him to lose weight. I dunno! My mom thinks they look more on the dairy side instead of market. Part of that being that their mom is a dairy goat and their dad is a meat goat. But I had a market goat last year from the same mom as the one this year and I placed 3rd in my class with him. So, it's hard to tell about this year. And then my milker goat. Ugh! Her udder is so lopsided it's not funny. It's so hard to even it out! I'm pretty calm about my meat doe though! She looks great! I think I'll do good with her.
Then Tuesday, I have my pygmy goat show. You know, those really short goats that are usually plump with the ears that stick up? Yeah, that's what I'm showing. I only have two of those though. I have a female and a wether(know also as a castrated male). I think I'll do good with them. There's not a lot of competition with the pygmys. There's about ah, I'd say 30 kids total showing them. And most of them won't be in my classes. And so far only 4 people have signed up in my showmanship class.
Gosh there are so many things going on this week! It's crazy. Lets see...I think Wednesday is when I'm actually going to walk around with some friends and do stuff. And then thursday we have the band show at the fair. Then later that day i have my market goat sale, and a friend's rabbit show to go to. And that night a home, varsity soccer game against Canal at 7:00pm. Then Friday I have to work the food both under the grandstands for our soccer team!
Gee, what a busy week! I can't wait though! Fair week is always exciting. You never know what's going to happen!! Wish me luck on my shows! I'll need it!

P.S.~ This means I probably won't be on here a lot this week! Sorry guys! I know how much you're all going to miss me! Right? lol
