Europe exists!

Europe exists!

I just wanted to tell the new publishers of Demigod that Europe exists! So now that you know, please release it in USA and Europe at the same time so players buy the game instead of download it. Because when ppl download it, noone can play online which kinda kills the online community.

If you wanna fight piracy, start here! Release worldwide at the same time and eliminate one of the big incentives to download the illegal way. Too many games have been destroyed this way (Sins of a Solar Empire is totally unknown in Sweden...).

I dont see the problem there..

Most people in Europe speak english anyways, it's tought in every school. So every person that is old enough to play the game should be able to understand the english version...

Im not saying that I expect everybody in europe to speak english, but a pc game usually doesnt contain highly complex terms which you would have to look up in a dictionary.

Im from germany and went to amazon to check this game out, then i saw the delay of 1 month.

So i just bought it from the demigod homepage, now i got it in english but i can already play.

United Kingdom doesn't need localisation, we can tolerate the American spelling! (just about)

Yeah, you guys are too busy corrupting your own language to even care about spelling. :P

As I really really wanna play this game, will we europeans be able to play on the US servers, and if we can, how "good" will it be? Like how will the latency be?

Demigod uses P2P connections, so there are just matchmaking servers. Latency for USA - Europe is mostly about 200-300ms as Kitkun stated.

"Europe exists!"

That is actually a lie, probably part of some great government conspiracy or something. I'm standing here at the place where Vienna, Austria is supposed to be, but there is nothing here but a black void.

Well I´m aswell from Germany and 1 tip to you you know you can play it in German?? Just choose german as installation language , but honestly the game is much better in american english because the german synchro´s messed up the whole game they´re such emotionless and simply doesnt fit the game

BTW:Full released DG is so much better than Beta

Anyway, all it takes to get games from us online is a credit/debit card or paypal. No funny international prices either--you just pay in USD at whatever the going conversion rate from your currency is. For most people outside the US, it's quite a deal compared to local game prices due to the weak dollar.

There's simply no excuse to pirate the game. And if someone does, we honestly don't care if they think it's unfair that they can't play online, considering they're enjoying the fruit of our labor without paying us a single cent.

True after trying the demo to Sins which is downloading over Impulse right now I think of buying because I had pirated it before and thought it was great but it was sometime ago so will try the demo again and if I like it as much as I remember I fully intend to buy it like I did Demigod.

P.S. Love Impulse so I can play Demigod eventhough I live in Germany

Are you sure you didn't accidently visit CERN's LHC? I'm from Austria as well, but I can't say it's black over here. Well, at least until sundown.
