i'm not going to marry an indian guy...really if you ask me all indians are big time hypocrites.....considering the type of person i am i don't think i can tolerate another one of those mcp...who's mamas have always centered their world around them..wat with the " mere laal ...raaja beta "...kind of upbringing they had to grow up with big time egos....and another category is the kinds who on the face of it are the oh so cool dudes,..you actually think so there goes a metrosexual man ,his friendly gender indifferent attitude at first seems refreshing but then you realise he's got complexes of a different kind...like he's probably so in awe of the "outside world" that he forgets individuality never went out of fashion...
really if you ask me,theforeigners are probably much more cool in these matters...though thats another matter that most of them (...esp americans..) are way too screwed up...
okay so maybe i'll marry a NRI..:-)
but honestly apart from all these hard known(butrarely said)facts of life...NRIsare obviously not going to fall in my lap...so from a practical point of view if i want any decent indian to give me a second thought i should ideally speaking (...or rather hypocritically speaking ...see this proves wat a true blue indian i am..) get a tag attached to my name...like nobody knows a BPHARM. graduate from jamia hamdard , but if i do an MBA say from a place like IIM ...everybody wud want a wife who plays in money..
see i'm not saying that this kind of thinking is wrong or one shud be ashamed of it ...because afterall even i myself wud anyday go for an IIT graduate than a DCE engineer ...but all i'm trying to say is that if you are a hypocrite (...courtesy the truly screwed up ethos of indian society...) you should be man enough to admit it so that you can rectify it...i mean you got to first identify the problem in order to do sumthing about it...
now coming back to my career ambitions...knowing the sort of hypocrite i am and plus also knowing the sort of individual i am...i would give ,MBA a try first and not go into research because i personally feel i wud enjoy marketing much more any day...but then that does not mean post graduation is completely ruled out ,i might do it after marriage, when i wud already have a well qualified indian in my kitty...
the reasonsfor doing a PHD wud be purely personal...intellectual satisfaction..(..though i honestly feel it has partly to do with the kind of atmosphere at home i was provided with, which i am proud of....so having a Dr. in front of my name wudn't be altogether so bad..) because otherwise it does not fetch you much in this material world...who cares whether ur doing MPHARM in boston or bombay unless the uni's got a rep...
