Why AccuWeather.com bad for EU :(

Might want to email support@stardock for this.  They might have a fix.

I was able to get the feed just now on the current version. I will make sure that the support guy who codes these gadgets sees this. Got a ticket number I can wave at him for you?

i have the same problem as Trennelx....
i tried to use "Minden, Germany" because it´s in the near of my home... But the weathertool doesnt show me any informations... Only n/a

When i try to get some information on www.accuweather.com and i give "Minden, Germany" to the search mask there are a lot of weatherinformation about Minden... ?
I also tried to give the URL-Code to the Weathertool in OD, but that also doesn´t work...

I see it's time to make DesktopX widget (or gadget) which will work with AccuWeather.com correctly. Too much problems around...

So I began to think about.  

I also can't get the weather docklet in OD to work for my locality, which is in North Wales, UK. The weather widget for DX works fine for my location. Is there some reason why the DX weather gadget is different from the OD one?

If you are currently using the Weather docklet in the free version you are likely to have issues with your chosen locations. In the current version of OD Plus fixes were put in to correct this problem. The free version of the software will not be updated until the next full update of ODP I am afraid. However if you are on the Plus version of the software please make sure that you are on the current version and not the beta or alpha. If that is the case then please post here or to us at [email protected] so we can better assist you.

thanks for information, but i am a registered User and had downloaded the last official version of ObjectDock (I suppose so), but OD doesnt know Minden, Germany (or Herford, Germany; Bad Oeynhausen, Germany -which are near towns to my location)

I've mentioned this before, a long time back ...and it's not a major gripe, as my sidebar gadget works fine for my location ..but for the life of me, I just cannot get the OD+ weather docklet to recognise Cairns, QU, Australia.

I'm running the very latest version of OD+ on Vista Ultimate. Interestingly, I also have OD+ on an XP rig I have ...[which I have not updated in a while] ..and it works just fine for Cairns. 

It [OD+ weather docklet on Vista] will pick up details for Townsville, Queensland ...a town 4 hours south of me, but anything further north from that point will just not work.

A fix, or details how to fix it myself would be nice. ....please?

Let me know if that works for you.

Typical questions I ask are always video driver dates, the version number, if you have tried backing up OD to the last release version. Things like that are what we go through first in the ODP support queues.

No problem. I tried it on two test machines on the lastest beta you can get through our new system Impulse. Both of them (XP and Vista) were able to see your 71-75 degree weather (or in this case 22-26 cel great weather). If you are not on that update you can always try it out through Impulse: http://impulsedriven.com/about.asp

sorry for beeing so inconveniencely..

I downloaded the Impulsesoftware and installed it. Then Impulse recognized my OD and tells my that it will make an update.
After download and update the same Versionnumber of OD appears to me? 535u ?
Now i´m a little bit confused... :NOTSURE:

Impulse doesnt give me the new chance to download or update my OD ?

What´s wrong here? What is my fault?

And i also tried to copy your hint to OD, but it also doesn´t work with my ??new updated OD??

Click on the Stardock orb in the upper right.
Choose preferences.
Check the show pre-release at the top of the General section

See if it doesn't show an update then

Which Stardock do you mean? Which menue do i have to open?
When i open my object dock i see no "orb"? ...

But i have some trouble with Impulse... and i don´t know why....

When I start Impulse, impulse connect to his server and it download the latest news and display them to me. Allright so far....
But than impulse tried to download his own update (writes that to my in the buttom line of his window) and connect and connect and connect, but nothing happens....
I don´t know why, because the connect must work why impulse download the news and display them to me??

Does somebody knows why?

Could be a settings or XML issue. Try clicking on the "?" help button in the top right, then hit XML public, then delete all the files in that folder, restart Impulse.

If that dose not work try a simple uninstall/reinstall of Impulse.

I also have OD+ and the latest update for it, but the weather dock will not display for my location. I directly copied the location text from the DX weather widget, but still not recognised. But I am not too bothered, as I can use the DX weather widget. I was just puzzled as to why they appeared to be different.

Cannot the DX weather widget be implemented into OD+?
