Robbed from my first WIN

This player disconnect just before dying (his name is ERMAK by the way) and my first ever win on multiplayer seems to have vanished because of his action

I bet he knew was he was doing ...

So a lot of players must use this strategy of avoiding a lost game for the sake of their stats ?

I hope this exploit will be dealed with on the next patch

The game is very good but I hope to cross the path of nicer civilized players on my next game

Where is your honnor ?

Take it like a man ERMAK

Not that I condone that behavior and its certainly no excuse for disconnecting, but the surrender screen is brutal.

Yeah what's with surrender anyway? Quit/surrender it should all be the same.

You can still get a win. Just finish off the game regularly. Kill the planets.

Host a game. Doesnt matter if you "cant" host.

Put one AI allied to you , no enemies . Start the game.

Instant Victory Screen

I dont do this because I dont care about win stats , but if your really pissed off then you can give it a try.

If its more a principle thing that you were robbed off , then thats another thing.

they actually asked not to mention these types of things on the forums (one of the stickies in general forum), thats why my posts that refer to this/fixing this, never directly mention how it works, however I pmed blair.

hopefully fixed by 1.03, the ICO profiles are useless atm, you cant tell how many wins are actually wins..etc.

Does a notch on the stock of your rifle mean so much? You know you beat him. Who cares about the mark? He has to live with his cowardice. Take satisfaction in that.

It isin't like there is any sort of real leaderboards anyway. All that really matters is the number of games played, because it is logical to assume someone who has played say... 100 games, is going to be better than someone who has played 5. However according to the new patch notes, even if the entire other team uses quit instead of surrender, the non-quitting team will win.

What's bothering me is the fact that he was the host and when he disconnect the game froze

All quitters should automatically get a lost so maybe it will encourage them to stay and play till the end of the game

I think Ironclad should change this multiplayer flaw and they should add some kind of incitative so all players stick till the end

By the way some of my best multiplayers games of the last few years (mostly warhammer Dawn of war) are the games that you think you will loose and finally you end up winning - it's so rewarding to make it against all odds

It's so easy to disconnect right now - it's a shame

I think Sins players deserve better than this

Does the new patch (1.03) improve the situation ?

Oh wow, this is a very old trick and it's been around forever. I remember this happening back in the days of the original Command and Conquer games. How to avoid a loss? Just unplug your net connection. These days it's even easier because it can literally be a button or switch away that disables a wireless connection. There isn't really any solution to this other than to do a time-based judgment. Depending on the size of the map, Ironclad should use their data and determine the average length of battle on a small, medium, and large map. Then respectively cut each average in half or down to a quarter. Then apply that as a rule so that when the game effectively goes over that amount of time any disconnect is viewed as a surrender. That would be the smart thing to do instead of just globally marking every disconnecter as a loser or no-score.
