Making Windows huge

Making Windows huge

I recently bought and downloaded WindowBlinds. Ever since I installed it on my computer I have been having this strange problem. There are 2 users on my desk top (my husband and I). When he and I "switch users" and the new user profile loads up windows gets so huge that it doesn't all fit on the screen. Is any one else having this problem? Is there a option I should turn off or on? Thanks for any help ya'll can give me.

Sounds like you screen resolution setting is changing for some reason, have you check it to see if that's the problem.  ;)

WB shouldn't have any effect on screen size

one the side that works correctly, when you check the resolution - what is it?
what's the resolution on the large side?

can you post screen shots of both?

open WB configuration, click the 'system info' tab = click copy text and paste the info here

Every once in awhile this happens to me also. I just turn off the monitor and turn it back on and it fixes itself.

To Bichur:
I have checked the screen res and it says the same thing both ways (1024x768)
Here is the other info you asked for. I switched users and guess what the one time I want it to get bigger so I can show you, is the FIRST time it hasn't done it since I loaded WB.

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 32 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having this problem.  :p I have to re start my comp to correct the problem though.

Bendiwink - for WB6 those are slightly old files (and I'm guessing from a standalone download and install)

try uninstalling, reboot, downloading Stardock Central, register your serial and use SDC to download and install the latest version, reboot

Bichur: Just a little history.... I downloaded the trial first before I bought the program, it started then. When I bought it I ordered a hard copy. Before got the bought one in the mail I removed the other one. Just in case this one was a slightly newer version any maybe this problem had been patched. Then I rebooted my comp and loaded the one i got via snail mail. Then the problem started again. Should I still uninstall again?

It is possible that you have some left over stuff from the different installs. Uninstall WindowBlinds, if you have a register cleaner run that also and then reboot. Reinstall WindowBlinds6 and then reboot again. If you don't have Stardock Central installed go to Stardock's web site and get it, it's free and it makes downloading updates a lot easier and usually without getting a corrupt file. Then you can use that to get the most current update to WindowBlinds. That, hopefully should correct the problem. Come on back and let us know what happens.  ;)
