Upgraded to a 22" Samsung WS monitor

The price was good at Sam's Club and I just couldn't resist it.  It's the SyncMaster model 223BW, which I think is a older model.  Couldn't find it listed on Samsungs web site.

This replaces the 17" LCD regular screen that I had and it does make a world of difference.  I also use my 37" LCD TV as a second monitor.  I run in clone mode and the 37" does show the same resolution as the 22".  I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 with dual VGA outputs.  That was fine before because the 17" didn't have a DVI input.

Since both the new monitor and the TV have DVI input, would I realize an improvement in upgrading my video card to one with dual DVI output?  I'm not a gamer so I wouldn't need anything fancy.  The one I have now has 256mb of memory so I wouldn't want to reduce that.  If I'm not mistaken it's an AGP card.

Looking for some thoughts here.   ;)

Nice, I was looking at the 226BW but then decided screw it and went for the 24" 245BW instead, love it.  :CONGRAT:

DVI should improve a bit, I'm not sure how much...not privvy to how all that stuff works, but it couldn't hurt.

Well if you have the SyncMaster 2232BW then you have a really great monitor. I got one for Xmas and I couldn't be happier. It features a 2ms response time and a dynamic 3000:1 contrast ratio. WC never looked better. :HOT:
