just want to give my support for mom2. the original was the best game i ever played and still play. xcom is a close 2nd so i must lobby for a graphicaly enhanced copy of the original as well.

As for a currently ongoing remake of the "real" original X-Com/UFOD game... there IS something almost & near some beta run stage i heard - CyDonia's Fall by a European gang. More info at StrategyCore here; WWW Link.

They're not making MoM 2, they couldn't get the license. I'm terribly pleased at that, actually, because being beholden to the design and setting of an old game doesn't help new design. They're making a turn based fantasy 4x game, I've no doubt it'll be great. It may have some commonalities with MoM, but it won't be MoM2 and it won't be just like MoM. This is a good thing.

with Atari out of the PC gaming business, maybe someone else will be able to purchase the MOM rights and will make a decent MOM2. that way we will get to enjoy both games!
