LAN setup and Groups in OKC

Long Live the Empire,

    I am a future SoaSE player, be it that I have not gotten the game yet. I have heard mixed views of playing online and frankly I am not impressed. I want to hook up a LAN game an play with my crew before exploring SoaSE on Cyberspace. I had an experience playing Earth and Beyond and felt...eh. I am open to doing it(playing online) but don't want the fun sucked out. If anyone has done a LAN set up, please write me.

    Now all the captains of the Empire in OKC, yet me heard your voice. When I do get this game and play online, I want to know where are my Peeps at! I live in OKC and want to get the pulse of the gaming community in OKC.
