Decent with TEC but want to try out the other Empires

Basically my question is do you guys think I should master 1 then play another empire or does it matter? I have won miltiple games against Normal and Hard AI (getting into multiplayer soon but not untill I get better).

What are the advent and Vasari like? I notice that their ships have more abilities (I think) so maybe it takes a bit more to micro them? Thanks to anyone who responds

imho you should try out mp if you just wanna get better for mp. theres many things that work vs a.i but barely work vs decent players.

understood. What I mean is just generally getting better at micromanagement and learning abilities and hot keys.
