Does this happen in new games as well, or just in a save game? If it happens in new games, what party are you using?

That happened to me too in my last game, using the Universalists. I was able to stop the CTD by going to the previous autosave and turning the autosave feature completely off in the options screen. I had it set to save everyturn when it happened. Hope that helps.

Hmm...so it's something to do with the universalists, maybe. Thanks. :)

Just a note in addition to my similar post on this subject. I was using Federalists both times that this happened to me.
Both times were games where I was doing really well, too, if that helps. Would you like me to send you a file?

This has been happening to me as well, under the federalists. Does it also help to note that my starting bonuses (ie: I added another 30% economics) does not show up in the stats? Thanks Bregenzer, I'll try that out!

When the senate crash happens, it's because somehow your political party ID got messed up.  I'm not sure if this is something to do with saving and reloading.   But in 1.04, there is code to prevent the crash from happening.

Now, when you load a save game, if the saved political party ID is junk, it will fix the value.

1.04 is still in beta right CariElf? Is there a date of release to people like me? Thanks for the help!

yep, it's still in Beta. We're holding off on the update for now because there's still a few things that we want to look at before releasing it publicly.

You'll still be able to load 1.03 games in 1.04, so you can keep your save games even if you have to start a new one because the current one is crashing.
