A poem by Michelle Dicinoski

I don't love you
for your beauty
alone,
but also for your large
vocabulary

When you say
emporium and
brouhaha instead of
shops and a
fistfight it
really turns me on.

Tell me all the synonyms
for smitten
and I'll tell you what I am

Don't ask me why... I just like the poem and thought here would be the best place for it. I saw it in the paper today and felt like getting it 'out there'.

I have a feeling the poem isn't quite right as it appears above. It has been copied incorrectly. The original is, however, a brilliant poem. As with all of Michelle's writing, it is grounded and sensual while being wickedly playful with all her clever words and ideas... Good that it's here, though. She has a blog called 'Not Like That' with all her other work on it.
