I Love the 80's

I Love the 80's

How about you?

I love 80's music (It helps that I was born in 70's). I just took an 80's music lyrics quiz over at yetanotherdot.com Link. I scored a 93. Take the quiz and let me know how you did.

I put DOWN UNDER - not that it mattered but I was proud there was some Australian songs in the list (inxs, rick springfield and men at work)

I didn't know that Rick Springfield was from Australia! I was a huge fan of his music. I wanted to see him in concert in 84(?), but I was only 13(?) and my mom said no. I did go to the mall and stand in line for hours to get autographs from his opening act - 'Til Tuesday (another group featured on the quiz)!

I was born in 1970, but I didn't get a bonus. It said I wasn't eligible. Maybe I clicked the wrong box for what I was born between...

No, I was saying I LOST 15 points because I neglected to answer accidentally.

Had I answered, I wouldn't have lost those points.

chiprj: You find the coolest stuff! My score was a crappy 51. When I say the answers I was so mad because I knew a lot of them, but just couldn't pull them out of my head for the quiz. It also denied me a birth bonus since I said I was born before "Just Say No" (1979). I should get extra points because I have a bad memory and I can never remember anything! I was robbed!

Final Score: 108.5 - Just got you there Gideon I was born in 1979 but I have been in love with music for what seems like forever.

I cant believe I got the Violent Femmes and Beastie Boys songs wrong! Simple spelling/pluralising mistakes. Most other mistakes were just silly mistakes and lapses of concentration, but what ticked me off is that you got no points for partly correct answers. There were a heap of questions where I knew 1 or 2 of the words out of a multi-answer question. But I'm quiely impressed with my score... I'll shutup now

93 for me

Aww, that's not too crappy... OK, maybe it is... But, it's still fun to remember all those songs! Right?

Theo,

technically, no you didn't...remember, I lost 15 points for screwing up and not putting when I was born...a technicality if ever there was one.

I'm still the king.

I think I only couldn't recognize one song.."Believe it or not I'm walking on"...

Walking on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves

However, short phrases and harsh spelling negatives

Yeah, I got dinged on a couple. I did get the full ten points for knowing and spelling 'colitas' correctly!

Nope--walking on air...(Greatest American Hero Theme Song).

Katrina's song didn't contain the words "believe it or not".

Here's a test question for you 80's afficianados...should be an easy one for many of you:

"Poor Old ______ ___"

Johnny Ray? I honestly don't know the answer, but some careful googling came up with that. I still don't remember it, though.

I've been looking for this quiz for months now, though Google. Silly me, not to have checked other bloggers top articles. I got 84.
