Does anyone use the Library stuff...

I use most of the stuff. The events add variety to the game, and the techs help (if I get to them).

Are they not considered cheating then (regarding the Metaverse)?

I'm not sure, but I submitted a game with earlier mods (the last two pages) and it worked fine.

Sure, for example Smuggling is a nice extra tech for Evil empires and having more events makes for less repetition when playing long games.

Sure that it is no cheating?

The only user-made mods that are not considered cheating are those that are placed in the Library. This is because the folks at Stardock can evaluate these mods to determine 1) if they work correctly and 2) if they preserve the game balance. IF they meet those criterea, they go to library as "approved" user mods.

Dave, that sounds good, but it's not the case at all, or have you somehow missed the posts about how particular mods actually crash the game or flat out don't work without you making some data file changes yourself?

They are supposed to be doing what you describe sometime this week but currently all being in the library is indicative of is that a Stardock emp scanned it for viruses and put it up.

I was definitely speaking in theory I know that based on earlier covnersations with Stardock peeps that it was supposed to work the way I mentioned. I'm sure they will get it righted soon enough...
