WORDS ARE FREAKING EASY!
Words only have as much power as you give them. It is impossible for someone to insult you. It is impossible for someone to upset you. It is impossible for someone to make you angry.
Only you can do those things to yourself!
If you don’t like what someone has to say on JU, don’t read what that person writes. Don’t visit that person’s site. Don’t read their comments. Blacklist them from your site. It is very easy.
There are a number of people on JU who I consider unworthy of my time or attention. If I see a comment of theirs I will usually skip over it. Sometimes I will read them just to reinforce my previous opinion, but I never let what they write get to me. I refuse to give them that much power over me.
I don’t care how crude, rude, crass, disgusting, or down-right evil someone’s words are. They are nothing unless you make them into something. If you enjoy the drama you create by giving these words weight, then by all means do so, but some of us are getting a little tired of hearing the same crap over and over. Maybe you can put a disclaimer at the top: ** Warning: Contains Senseless Drama **. Because if all I see are these types of articles from a person, then they will quickly join the "skip-over" list.
I suggest some people here need to toughen their skin and engage “ignore” mode.
