Final Frontier

I have a game set to allow only research victory. After about 8 hours of play, I was able to complete the Final Frontier requirements. My controls and such turned white, but then nothing else happened. I played an additional 20 turns with nothing going on but researching old techs that I had passed up before. If I go into the main menu, toward the bottom it say that the research and cultural victory
is 'off', military victory is at 30% and alliance victory is at 0%.

I have no idea what else I need to do to win the research victory. How do I 'transcend'?

Once I researched Final Frontier the game ended for me... got the really cool victory movie and everything. Dunno what's up with your game; AFAIK there are no "other" requirements for the Beyond Human victory...

Asharak... what worries me is the 'off' it shows for research victory on the main menu page. I know for a fact that I didn't turn it off when I started the game. If this is a bug, I'm gonna scream!

Great... over 8 hours of play for nothing... enough to make you want to give up the game. :(

Slightly off topic, but something I had thought of from an earlier game with tech victory off. Shouldn't Final Frontier give you 3 or 4 bonuses in important statistics? I mean after all, the whole idea is that you just became a race of gods. Just something that bugged me. :D
