Finishing up my first machoistic huge game and I am planning to drag the game out to near max tech victory before militarily crushing my last enemy planet just to see the best score I can get at this game setting (yes, as with many other posters, i would have very much like to spend that time spent endlessly clicking the turn button on playing my next game).

After tasting the thrill of playing at Machoistic , don't think I will ever play at other AI levels again, regardless of how my scoring will go.

I'd love to update my version, unfortunately I'm one of the many people that don't get a correct update analysis from the SDC software. It wants to download 84 megs, and I'm not doing that over a dial-up connection. Eventually they'll either fix the SDC software or I'll just stick with the regulard downloads. 1.02 should be out today sometime.

And my version has nothing to do with how the Metaverse is currently handling scoring anyway. So your post wasn't very topical.

Hmm. 84 megs on a dialup.. Lets see, start the download when you go to sleep and it's updated by morning.. I wasn't implying that you patch level was affecting your scoring, (but it should becuase as the AI is updated, people are playing a more difficult game) I was just letting you know in case you didn't know.

Hopefully when I install 1.02 it will fix this sync issue and I can grab the updates normally from then on. If not I'll probably do like you said. Though at this point it looks like 1.02 will result in a pretty solid game and thus quick-updating might not be as important in the future.

So that I know that I'm not nuts, does everyone see a total score, and then, in parentheses, a metaverse score on the Scoring Summary page?
