I just built a starbase on top of another starbase

;p

My constructor had moved to the sector with another starbase and the question came up if I wanted to improve that starbase. I wasn't sure what improvement I wanted so I clicked cancel, checked my stats, decided what I wanted to to and returned to that constructor. It was still on top of the starbase, so I double clicked it and selected BUILD STARBASE (I thought this would just add to the existing one). Now I have two starbases in one area. And considering that ships have to FLY AROUND everything (like planets and anomalies - which is RIDICULOUS in 3d space) I can't see how I get two bases in one area.

I wonder if this would work for an enemy starbase. That way you could mooch resouces too :)

Are you getting 2x benefits with 2 bases then ??

These bases aren't upgraded yet. Is there a way to tell what bonuses unenhnaced starbases are giving?

I was thinking I would upgrade each one individually and see if I get cumulative bonuses (like 10% + 10%). Could be great for trade.

I did this. Had two unfleeted construtors in the same square, told them both to plant a starbase, and ended up with two.

I only seemed to be able to upgrade one of them, although now I think you could possibly change the you upgrade by reslecting things and changing the starbase at the top of the stack.

I don't think you can re-order the stack :notsure: I tried to select the bottom-most starbase but it will only upgrade the top starbase. If someone knows a way to reorder the stacks, let me know! ;)

I don't see how there'd be any added benefit of this over just having two starbases in the same sector, but what the hey.

No, you're right. There is no added benefit. I just lost a starbase upgrade though. Hope they see and fix this.
